Capcom has updated its list that reveals which games have sold more than one million copies, and a few of them are new additions.
The Platinum Titles page now has 106 products that have surpassed the one million sales result. There are fewer games on there, though, as this list contains re-releases, remakes, and expanded versions of previously available titles. Still, we have to point out a few of the games, as, regarding their performance, they have some decent sales, and a few “newcomers” are also mentioned.
Resident Evil: Village (we’ll mention the platforms the game is on, as well as the position it has on the Platinum Titles chart; PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One) has sold 4.5 million units so far (by June 30), and it’s a good result. It immediately flung RE8 onto the 13th place in the best-seller chart of Capcom of all time. Monster Hunter: Rise (Nintendo Switch) has sold 7.3 million units (7th place), 2.5 million more since March 31.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 9.8 million units (2nd place!), 800K more than reported by March 31. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (PlayStation 4, Xbox One) has sold 8.2 million units (4th place), with a half-million increase since the end of the previous fiscal quarter. Resident Evil 2 Remake (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC) has reached 8.6 million units (3rd place), and it also saw a 500K boost since the last update. Resident Evil 3 Remake (and the free extra, Resident Evil Resistance… PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC) achieved 4.4 million sales (14th place), which is a 400K increase since the end of March.
Street Fighter V (PlayStation 4, PC) is at 5.8 million copies (9th place) after a 300K jump. Devil May Cry 5 (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC) increased to 4.5 million units (12th place) after a 200K increase. And another new addition: after achieving one million sales and getting 105th place on the list, Resident Evil Revelations Collection (on the Nintendo Switch) is also part of the Platinum Titles.
Monster Hunter: World is still leading the list by a landslide (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, 17.3 million), followed by Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and the Resident Evil 5-6 duo (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC) with 7.9 million sales each.
The Capcom company thus can rely on the back catalogue sales of both Resident Evil and Monster Hunter.
