We might have learned the three games Sony plans to give to those who pay a hefty amount to have unrestricted access to PlayStation Plus online multiplayer on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
It might be somewhat unusual to see Sony reveal the September games in September, as the first Tuesday of the month (September 7) is predated by September 1, the Wednesday before it, when Sony will confirm the titles available for free for the PlayStation Plus subscribers. We have learned that one game will not be part of the line-up: Bloober Team outright said that the PlayStation 5 port of The Medium would not be a PS Plus title.
According to billbil-kun, a member of the French site Dealabs, two PlayStation 4 titles and one PlayStation 5 game will be freebies for the PlayStation Plus subscribers in September. So nothing out of the ordinary, although Sony tends to give us four games from time to time. On PlayStation 5, we may get Overcooked!: All You Can Eat, while the PlayStation 4 users could receive Hitman II and Predator: Hunting Grounds, the user claims.
Overcooked is a party game, which may not be a bad choice, but for the subscribers, it might be divisive (especially for antisocial players); Predator: Hunting Grounds could be fun in multiplayer (but it’s not an extremely memorable game, to begin with), but at least IO Interactive’s Hitman II could be a successful move. Agent 47 can provide a lot of fun (and Hitman III, a cross-gen game, has been available for seven months, including all the maps from the trilogy).
Until then, you can get the August games: Hunter’s Arena: Legends (PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4), Planets vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (PlayStation 4), and Tennis World Tour 2 (PlayStation 4). Keep in mind that the list for September is not official yet. Take it with a grain of salt.
