MOVIE NEWS – “Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?” Will Smith in Fortnite!
Fortnite is more than just a video game – it’s not just a battle royale or cooperative building game. It’s also a regular movie theatre and recently hosted a concert. Epic Games’ hit game has also added several movie characters, most recently Ryan Reynolds’ Free Guy, which has seen him star in Fortnite. And more recently, gamers can now welcome Will Smith as his hero from Bady Boys.
Epic Games announced in a blog post that Will Smith‘s character from the Bady Boys series would be making an appearance in Fortnite. The character in question is Mike Lowrey, who was seen in Michael Bay’s first film, Bad Boys (1995), and returned in 2003’s Bad Boys 2. He’s back in Bad Boys again, most recently in the 2020 blockbuster Bady Boys Forever, where he shared the news and the lead. As usual, you can get your Will Smith hero in the form of the Mike Lowrey Outfit at the Item Shop. Specialities of the character and his outfit are the Detective’s Duffle Back Bling and Loose Cannon Cutters, which is the equivalent of a double-handled pickaxe.
Fortnite has been delighting players on almost every platform since 2017. Not so long ago, by the way, Epic Games commemorated Martin Luther King Jr. in the game, which made many frowns, as the black American activist and the colourful-sounding TPS world didn’t fit together, a good thing he was not included as a playable character in the multiplayer. And recent leaks have been about when Fortnite might get the promised Unreal Engine 5.
