Tales of Arise is releasing soon, and Banda Namco Entertainment has decided to drop an extended look at the game before release.
The five-minute trailer gives a general overview of the story, gameplay, and the mechanics of the new entry for the Tales franchise. It also provides an in-depth look at the graphics engine and style of the game, which was Anime inspired, and also by Watercolour paintings giving it a unique visual style.
Players will be able to explore the world of Dahna where there are a large number of unique environments that the player will explore, including deserts, snowy mountains, and lush green fields. The environments will also change based on the time of the day, and players will be able to make camp, cook food, and rest to gain buffs. You can even have your own farm, raise animals, fish in ponds, and cook on the farm.
The battle system is dynamic and allows for characters to chain combos, use Boost Strike for dual attacks, dodge incoming attacks, and use Overlimits that give massive buffs during battle.
Lead your band of heroes to save the people of Alphen and Shionne, and to overthrow the oppressive Rena, and liberate the planet of Dahna
Tales of Arise is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on the 10th of September worldwide. It will launch for consoles on the 9th of September in Japan. A demo is available now for consoles.
