Elden Ring Difficulty: Two Important Gameplay Elements Will Make the Game Easier!

FromSoftware tries to make Elden Ring more accessible for those who are not used to its past releases.

FromSoftware titles have a reputation for being quite challenging, especially for less experienced players. Titles like Dark Souls, and the most recent remake of Demon’s Souls, are considered unsuitable for those looking for a relaxing experience, which scares off certain people. Still, the company plans to pick up  the interest of these people with its new instalment, Elden Ring.

During a live broadcast on Tokyo Game Show 2021, the producer of the game, Yasuhiro Kitao, detailed some elements incorporated into Elden Ring, which will facilitate the adventure, slightly increasing the overall accessibility of the title.

In Elden Ring, we will have an open world similar to past FromSoftware instalments. However, our horse will help us fight and facilitate travel between the different dungeons that we will have to explore.

The dungeons will be smaller than what we are used to in other company titles and will increase our level and continue through more difficult areas when we are ready.

Entering more fully into combat, Elden Ring will bring back the stealth mechanics that we used in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. We will deliver an accurate blow from the back, instantly eliminating the enemy and thus avoid a more complicated confrontation.

Kitao concluded, reiterating that Elden Ring will remain a problematic title, and the experience will not be affected by the changes he mentioned. We will not have to wait long to judge the difficulty on our own, as the title is already in the final phase of its development, and we will enjoy it on January 21.
