Monster Hunter Rise: Capcom says they can’t implement progression transfer and cross-play between the two versions. But fans have wanted to for a long time.
Monster Hunter Rise is a big hit. Capcom’s title has recently enjoyed stellar sales on Nintendo Switch and is now set to arrive on PC early next year. Sadly, however, PC users won’t be able to carry over its progress from the hybrid console.
This is something that gamers have been demanding for a long time and have asked developers to make an effort to implement this feature and make it easier to transition from one game to another. Capcom listened to the requests and looked into whether there was a way to make this possible but concluded that it was not possible.
We’ve heard your requests for Cross-Save / Cross-Play for #MHRise & #Sunbreak, but unfortunately, after looking into it throughout the development process, we found we are unable to implement it this time. As always, we appreciate your continued feedback and support.

“We listened to your requests for Cross-Save and Cross-Play in Monster Hunter Rise and Sunbreak, but unfortunately, after analysis during the development process, we concluded that we could not make it happen. As always, we appreciate your feedback and support,” reads the message posted on the official Twitter account.
The game will also feature new areas to explore and missions to complete through the story, with new monsters to encounter. According to Capcom, we will also have to master whole new gameplay.
Monster Hunter Rise has been critically acclaimed and well received by the public. It recently won the Best Game of the Year award at the Japan Game Awards.
