Edward Norton Says Goodbye to the Recently Deceased Meat Loaf, with Whom He Played in Fight Club

MOVIE NEWS – Yesterday, the sad news came that Marvin Lee Aday, better known as Meat Loaf, who managed to make a mark as both a musician and an actor during his lifetime, passed away on January 20, 2022.

Among his performances in the latter craft, Bob, the person living with testicular cancer from Fight Club, stands out, who was perhaps the most important supporting actor in the film directed by David Fincher, alongside the trio of the trio main characters.

When a mission for the established club goes wrong, the group is forced to flee, during which Bob, played by Meat Loaf, is shot in the head by a policeman. Afterwards, one of the film’s most famous lines is uttered at the club’s base: “His name is Robert Paulson!” The film starred Edward Norton, who had many scenes with his former colleague and who said goodbye to him in the following tweets after the news of his death:

“I don’t keep pictures from films around the home. But I have this one in my office in a frame because it makes me smile every time.

“It’s engraved ‘Love and Hugs, Meat’. It sums him up well. He was so funny. And gentle. And warm to everyone. A sweet soul. RIP Meat Loaf.”

He continued: “To us, he will always be ‘Bob’. Those were some wonderful months of laughter & irreverence. The hardest thing about working w/ Meat was getting through any of these ridiculous moments without cracking up. Him lying on the table playing dead then belting out Zeppelin. Good times.”
