Filming Of Better Call Saul’s Last Season Ended, But We Got Some Great Photos Of The Cast

MOVIE NEWS – Bob Odenkirk flashes a smile alongside Rhea Seehorn as the Better Call Saul cast celebrate the end of their journey that began in 2014.

Better Call Saul has finally ended. The Breaking Bad prequel series, which first aired on AMC in 2014, featured the origin story of Saul Goodman, a brash lawyer and criminal defence attorney played with professional professionalism by Bob Odenkirk. On Wednesday, cameras stopped rolling for the last time as filming of the series finale was completed. Odenkirk announced the end on Twitter, posting a picture of himself on the set in Albuquerque alongside Rhea Seehorn, who plays Kim Wexler.

In the tweet, Odenkirk wrote: Yesterday an amazing crew of people finished shooting Better Call Saul in Albuquerque, NM. It began in 2014, with great writing always leading the charge, and despite challenges of all kinds, our energy and care never flagged. I am honored to have been part of it.”

Odenkirk first starred as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad, in which he revealed very little about who the character really was outside of his life of crime. Better Call Saul showed that many layers could be peeled away from Jimmy McGill, the person who would eventually practice law under the pseudonym “Saul Goodman”. The idea was to show how Jimmy goes from being an aspiring lawyer trying to impress his brother to one day serving as the personal lawyer to Albuquerque’s most notorious criminals – and he fits right in.

Despite her absence from Breaking Bad, Kim Wexler, played by Rhea Seehorn, proved to be an MVP of sorts on Better Call Saul. As Jimmy’s closest friend (and now wife), Kim has been stuck by Jimmy through the couple’s many ups and downs. However, Kim seems to disappear from Jimmy’s life when Breaking Bad begins, leaving her fate as one of the biggest mysteries to be solved in the final season of Better Call Saul.

But what happens to the others? Who do we already know will definitely be in the final season? Well, as you can see, the first two photos feature the characters of Odenkirk and Seehorn. In the third sneak peek image from the final season of Better Call Saul, we see Giancarlo Esposito as Gus Fring and Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut. Both characters died in Breaking Bad, but their backstories have been greatly expanded thanks to Better Call Saul.

The sixth and final season of Better Call Saul will premiere on AMC on April 18, 2022. The last season will consist of 13 episodes, instead of the traditional ten, to give the writers more time to bring the story to a proper conclusion. Tony Dalton, who plays Lalo Salamanca, says the season is well worth watching because all hell has really broken loose!
