The Mandalorian: Season 3 will feature Christopher Lloyd

The star of Back to the Future, Christopher Lloyd will appear in the third season of the Star Wars spinoff, The Mandalorian.

It must have been a great surprise for the fans — especially the ones above 30 — when it was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that Christopher Lloyd will join the cast of The Mandalorian. The third season of the series is being shot in California right now and Lloyd will supposedly have a guest spot in the show, although there aren’t any details yet.

Chistopher Lloyd is the most well-known from his role as Doctor Brown in Back to the Future and its sequels, besides that, he voiced the doc in video games and in several other media. This isn’t his first run with the sci-fi world; he played once the Klingon Commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Recently he appeared with Bob Odenkirk in Nobody and played with Ben Affleck in The Tender Bar.

There aren’t many information about the third season either. So far we know that Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito will return to their main roles. It’s worthy to mention that although Lloyd is the first guest star for season 3, The Mandalorian had already have a plenty of big names as guest appearances, such as Michael Biehn.

The popular Star Wars spinoff show, The Mandalorian debuted in 2019 on Disney+, executive produced by Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. The protagonist, Din Djarin, was played by Pedro Pascal. Besides him, Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Omid Abtahi, Nick Nolte, Taika Waititi, Gina Carano, Emily Swallow, and Giancarlo Esposito starred in the show’s first two seasons. However, we all know that it was Baby Yoda (officially named Grogu) who stole the show and the heart of the fans. The show received awesome reviews from the start, so much that it inspired several spinoff shows, such as Ahsoka or The Book of Boba Fett.

There is no official release date for season three yet, until then, the first two seasons of The Mandalorian, as well as The Book of Boba Fett, are streaming on Disney+.
