Breaking: Title & Cast Of The New Dungeons & Dragons Movie Has Been Revealed!

MOVIE NEWS – Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is set to hit cinemas next year.

Dungeons & Dragons is finally – once again – coming to the big screen! The long-awaited D&D movie was officially titled on Thursday at Wizards of the Coast’s D&D Direct event. The film is titled Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and stars Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, Sophia Lillis, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith and Regé-Jean Page. The film will be released in cinemas on 3 March 2023.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the duo behind The Night Game. They made a brief appearance during the Wizards of the Coast live stream to give players a taste of where the film could be headed in the D&D universe.

“It’s a dream come true to bring the Forgotten Realms and the Sword Coast to life,” Goldstein said during the presentation.

Daley revealed that filming on the movie is complete. “We just wrapped shooting in some of the world’s most incredible locations,” he said.

This particular adaptation of the role-playing game has had a bumpy road to the big screen. After several years of legal wrangling that began in 2013, the first real progress on the film came in 2017, when Hasbro announced that it would be making a D&D movie in partnership with Paramount Pictures. The film was initially scheduled for release in 2021, but the COVID-19 epidemic delayed filming and ultimately resulted in the current release date of 2023.

Along with the movie, the iconic role-playing game will also get a live-action TV series set in the same (cinematic D&D) universe as the feature film.
