POGA LUX: This Unofficial PS5 Project Redefines The Concept Of “Portability”…

TECH NEWS – German company INDIGAMING has put all the components and cables of the PS5 in a case with a screen, and there you have it – the POGA LUX!

It’s been a long time since there was such a thing as a handbag radio, and if the POGA LUX successfully conquers the markets, soon everyone will be talking about the “handbag console”! Since Sony has no plans to turn the PS5 into a handheld console, a German company has decided to do just that with an exceptional proposal, and the result is rather ornate, but at least it’s expensive.

The POGA LUX unofficial PS5 handheld console is priced at a whopping €1,499.

As you can read on the Fortress of Solitude portal, a German company called INDIGAMING has set out to turn the PS5 into a portable console. We’re not talking about a device that’s easy to pick up with two hands because, as you can see from the picture at the top of the article, INDIGAMING’s idea is more comprehensive (and bigger) than it looks.

This portable PS5, whose ‘official’ name is, therefore, POGA LUX, consists of a 24-inch bezel-less screen case with low blue light output and FreeSync Premium capabilities (technology that raises the visual level of games). The initiative also includes built-in speakers, USB ports for charging controllers or mobile phones and, of course, a new PS5 with 1 or 2 DualSense (depending on the customer’s preference).

As you’d expect, this device only works when plugged into a power socket, so you can enjoy the console’s next-gen games by opening the case.

So if you feel the urge to get this portable console, INDIGAMING sells it for €1,499.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen a wholly redesigned PS5, reminiscent of the work of an enthusiast who reduced the size of the console to make it look like a Slim model. There’s certainly a lot of work behind the ideas, but given that the price of the POGA LUX would get you three PS5s, it’s doubtful that gamers will buy in droves…
