Skull & Bones: Not Much Exploration On Foot; System Requirements [VIDEO]

We won’t have many opportunities to explore on two feet, but at least there will be supercell storms, and the water physics won’t be weak in Skull & Bones either.

You’ll be able to get out of your ship to search for treasure at the outposts. Still, once you get back on the water, the physics will be reasonable, as Ubisoft has worked on the physics for the water and wind, which will affect the speed at which your ship travels (but it isn’t a hardcore maritime simulator). We should also be aware of the weather: if we’re not careful, we could get a leak in a big storm while sailing into a supercell. After the video, we continue with the system requirements.

System requirements for low graphics settings (1080p, 30 FPS)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (no version number is mentioned, but x64 is required)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, or better
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (with 6 GB of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 570 (with 4 GB of VRAM), or better
  • Memory: 8 GB dual-channel RAM
  • Free storage: 65 GB on SSD!
  • And they don’t mention this, but you’ll also need an internet connection
  • due to Denuvo (which is making its way into Nintendo Switch emulators)

System requirements for high graphics settings (1080p, 60 FPS)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or 11 (version not specified; x64)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, or better
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (with 8 GB of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (with 8 GB of VRAM), or better
  • Memory: 16 GB dual-channel RAM
  • Free storage: 65 GB on SSD
  • An internet connection

System requirements for high graphics settings (1440p, 60 FPS)

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, or better
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 (with 8 GB of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 (with 16 GB of VRAM), or better
  • Memory: 16 GB dual-channel RAM
  • Free storage: 65 GB on SSD
  • An internet connection

System requirements for ultra graphics settings (4K, 60 FPS)

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (version not specified; x64)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, or better
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 (with 10 GB of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (with 16 GB of VRAM), or better
  • Memory: 16 GB dual-channel RAM
  • Free storage: 65 GB on SSD
  • An internet connection

The PC version has an unlimited frame rate, support for multiple monitors and ultra-wide displays, customizable controls, and the ability to tune multiple graphics settings individually. You can adjust the field of view (FOV), but there will also be a built-in benchmark testing option. DLSS, FSR, and ray traced global illumination can also be used for those with powerful enough hardware. There will also be crossplay with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Google Stadia (no Luna?).

Although you can play the game alone, Ubisoft suggests playing with two friends. It uses our reputation (infamy) and PvP settings to put us with other players. With the built-in reporting system, we can report disruptive behaviour. Anti-cheat software BattlEye will also be used in the French publisher’s game, and we’ll be perma-banned the first time we’re caught out in the game, which arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store), Google Stadia and Amazon Luna on November 8.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
