World of Warcraft has finally unveiled the official replica of Frostmourne, the infamous blade of the Lich King, to be available for pre-order in time for the release of Wrath of the Lich King Classic. However, just as Arthas has taken it upon himself to get his hands on this incredible World of Warcraft collectible, it also comes at a hefty price.

The Frostmourne Premium Replica and matching wall mount is currently available for pre-order on the Blizzard Gear Store and is expected to ship in February 2023.

The Frostmourne will cost $1,500 for players, and the wall mount will cost $200, bringing the price of the two collector’s items to nearly $2,000 after taxes and shipping.

 

 

 

 

The World of Warcraft replicas themselves are of insane quality. The Frostmourne reproduction is over four feet long and weighs almost seventeen pounds! Made of stainless steel, zinc-copper alloy and genuine leather, this officially licensed collector’s item comes with a certificate of authenticity. The blade itself is made with a wax-loss process, engraving, mill-finishing and hand polishing. The wall holder is cast in metal and resin and weighs approximately seven pounds.

Given that Frostmourne has been around for over 20 years, it’s no surprise that many other Frostmourne replicas have been made in the workshops of various companies and cosplayers. This premium replica is Blizzard’s first officially licensed version of the fearsome rune sword. However, the official certification comes at a high price: the Frostmourne Premium Replica costs two to four times as much as off-brand versions.
