If You’re An Xbox Series X Owner, You’ll Be Particularly Pleased With Game Pass October Offer…

Among the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in October 2022, there are a few titles that will be well worth a look for Xbox Series X owners.

Although cross-gen titles are still appearing, Xbox Series X-only games are coming more and more frequently, as evidenced by the new Xbox Game Pass list for October 2022. Of course, it’s not uncommon to see cross-gen at the start of a console generation, but it’s been almost two years since the Series X was released, and there are still only a handful of games that have taken proper advantage of the added horsepower. However, that is starting to change as more titles come exclusively to the current console generation.

Among the new Xbox Game Pass games coming out in October 2022, several will be coming exclusively to Xbox Series X, leaving the older Xbox One generation behind.

One such game has already been released in the form of Medieval Dynasty, a medieval-themed open-world survival game. Medieval Dynasty has received mixed reviews from critics, but it’s still notable for being a next-gen release.

Later this month, Xbox Series X owners can look forward to more Game Pass games, with the first-person horror game Scorn arriving on October 14. Long in development, Scorn is joining the Xbox Game Pass lineup just in time for the Halloween season. Horror fans who have been waiting years for the game will soon find out if it was worth the wait when it launches on Game Pass next Friday.

Xbox Series X Game Pass games for October 2022:

  • Medieval Dynasty – available now
  • Scorn – October 14.
  • A Plague Tale: Requiem – October 18.
  • Phantom Abyss – October 20.

Horror fans may also want to check out another Xbox Series X-only Game Pass game coming this month. Plague Tale: Requiem will be released as an Xbox Game Pass game on October 18, the first day of Xbox Series X. The sequel to the award-winning A Plague Tale: Innocence, A Plague Tale: Requiem is not a pure horror game, but it certainly embraces elements of the genre.

Like its predecessor, A Plague Tale: Requiem will unleash massive hordes of rats that can eat players alive. What’s more, there are supposed to be even more rats this time!

According to the developers at Asobo Studio, A Plague Tale: Requiem could have 300,000 rats on screen at once, which is staggering, to say the least.

Another Series X-only game is coming to Game Pass on October 20. It was recently revealed that Phantom Abyss, the Indiana Jones-inspired first-person platformer, will be coming to Game Pass on October 20. Phantom Abyss has been available in Early Access on PC for some time, and in that time, it has managed to earn a “Very Positive” overall rating. It will be interesting to see if Xbox Series X owners receive the game in the same way on October 20.
