The Director Of John Wick 4 Says He And Keanu Reeves Need To Do Even Better For John Wick 5 [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – John Wick: Chapter 4 director Chad Stahelski also revealed that Keanu Reeves “knocked himself out for months” with nunchucks.

Director Chad Stahelski talked about nunchucks and praised John Wick: Chapter 4 star Keanu Reeves, while saying that he and his star should be even better for John Wick 5. Speaking to IGN, the action movie director revealed that Reeves has been knocked out several times learning how to use nunchucks for the upcoming fourth installment. It’s hard to imagine how the actor could dedicate himself even more to the franchise, but Stahelski says that’s exactly what needs to happen.

“Keanu needs to be better. I say he needs to be better in John Wick. He needs to expand, he needs to get better at martial arts. He has to be better in every way. Keanu uses a nunchaku in this movie, which you saw in the trailer. Keanu has been knocking himself out for months to get good at nunchaku. He’s two-handed, right handed, left handed while shooting. The guy’s fucking good at it.”

Of course, Reeves isn’t the only one who needs to “improve” if they ever hope to reach the heights Stahelski has in mind for the fifth installment, the filmmaker says it all starts with him.

“It all starts with me. So if you want a better John Wick 5, I have to be better. I have to learn some tricks as a director, I have to try new lenses. I need to learn how to edit. I need to learn how to shoot better. I need to learn how to talk better to my characters. I need to be able to go out and have meetings and cast my films better to get the best actors possible.”

The sheer dedication of Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves is undoubtedly the reason why the John Wick franchise has become such a success, as both director and star constantly strive to find new ways to wow audiences with their action movie antics. Judging by the latest trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4, which looks like an action movie fan’s dream, making John Wick 5 will be no easy task.

In John Wick: Chapter 4, the bounty on his head grows ever larger, and Wick takes the fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin.
