80 Years Since the Birth of the Most Famous Canary of All Time, Tweety

MOVIE NEWS – In October, cartoon fans celebrated the 30th anniversary of the launch of Cartoon Network, and in November, Csőrike (English: “Tweety”) celebrated his 80th birthday. WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences is preparing for a large-scale international celebration to welcome the iconic canary.

Csőrike, one of the most popular characters of Bolondos dallamom, won the hearts of viewers with her cheeky yet charming personality. Csőrike has appeared in many series and films, one of the best known of which is The Adventures of New Year and Csőrike, in which Granny, New Year’s cat and the little bird solve mysteries. Csőrike’s innocent exterior hides a shrewd thinking, the canary always knows when it’s worth locking himself in the cage from New Year’s Eve, and he regularly finds a way to teach the “ciculi” a lesson.

On the occasion of the birthday, Warner commissioned a diverse group of artists to create 80 street paintings that reflect Csőrike’s exciting story and pulsating personality. To create the works of art, the company collaborated with 16 artists, each of whom created a different image of the tiny cartoon star. Csőrike’s characteristic yellow color dominates the works, but the different styles of the artists make each of them unique. The painters were selected so that representatives of as many countries, nationalities, genders and sexualities as possible were present.

The paintings, mainly made for firewalls, can be seen in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and the United Arab Emirates, and pictures of them can be found at looneytunes.com/tweety80.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products will also launch new products and fashion collections before the anniversary on November 21. The #Tweety80 hashtag is bringing fans together on social media as they prepare for the birthday.
