Hogwarts Legacy: This Charms Professor Is Definitely Charming!

The Hogwarts Legacy introduces a friendly new face to the Harry Potter franchise in the form of a “jovial and light-hearted” Charms professor.

As the release date for Hogwarts Legacy draws ever closer, another essential character in the game has been officially revealed. Another professor, and this time in the person of the Charms teacher.

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action role-playing game set in the 1800s, long before the events of the original Harry Potter books.

The developers have repeatedly stressed that the plot will follow players as they embark on a “dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world.” What exactly this “truth” remains a mystery. But Hogwarts Legacy is slowly revealing new content and characters. Most recently, we were introduced to the infamous Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor.

The new character revealed is Abraham Ronen, who will serve as Hogwarts’ Professor of Charms throughout the game. Ronen’s accompanying biography portrays him as a kindly man who values his students’ friendship and extracurricular activities almost as much as his subject. Ronen grew up with a strict father. So he may have become more playful himself. He also tries to incorporate these into his lessons, like the play elements of Hogwarts Legacy.

Not much is known about Professor Ronen at this time. However, Chandler Wood, the community manager at Hogwarts Legacy, has previously confirmed on Twitter that Ronen was assigned to House Slytherin as a student.

This may be due to the professor’s mischievous nature and love of games. One of his favourite games is Gobstone, and he reportedly met his wife at a particularly enjoyable Gobstone tournament. Of course, it could be that the “charming” character is just a cover: in fact, he becomes the primary antagonist. The Slytherin reference may be an early sign of this direction, though it is only speculation at this stage.

Excitement is building as the release date for Hogwarts Legacy draws closer. With the Hogwarts tour and custom character creator already introduced alongside the game’s ever-expanding cast, fans are eager to see what the developers have in store.
