Jon Favreau Shares Exciting Details About Mandalorian Season 3

MOVIE NEWS – Jon Favreau told fans at CCXP in Brazil that the new season of The Mandalorian will be “on a much bigger scale”.

The Mandalorian returns on March 1, 2023, and showrunner Jon Favreau has shared some exciting details about what to expect. Favreau and Dave Filoni appeared via video link at the CCXP event in Brazil to tease what’s to come in the series’ third season.

For starters, Favreau promised a “much larger scale” series. He also hinted that the season will reveal more about the title character, which fans have been speculating about since the series first aired.

“I’m saying that the scope is going to get bigger and bigger, we’re going to have really cool space battles, we’re going to have a lot of Mandalorians, there’s going to be the planet Mandalore that we’ve been talking about for a long time.”

Another thing Favreau hinted at is the possibility of returning characters from previous seasons. It’s an exciting prospect, as previous seasons filled the universe with fascinating characters, and some potential crossovers would be amazing. There have been cameos from well-known Star Wars characters such as The Clone Wars’ Ahsoka Tano, as well as appearances by Boba Fett, Bo-Katan Kryze and many others. So if these characters come together for a big moment in Season 3, it could be a special occasion for Star Wars fans worldwide.

“We get to see the Mandalorian culture and a lot of the amazing actors you’ve seen in previous seasons are coming back and you’ll see them all together in the show. It’s a very ambitious season, we have a lot of directors coming back, we have a very experienced team who have been working together for a long time , and I think a lot of people will enjoy what we have in store.”

Jon Favreau promises “even more surprises” for The Mandalorian season 3

Jon Favreau also revealed that several surprises will play a significant role in the plot. Grogu at the end of the first episode of the first season and Luke Skywalker at the end of the 2nd season are two examples of well-kept secrets. He added that “not everything will be a big surprise, but something unexpected should happen every week, and that’s the essence of a serialized TV series, where compared to a movie, everyone sees a chapter, everyone talks about it and guesses what happens next. Hopefully every week will be like we would open a Christmas present with new surprises.”

It sounds like fans can expect even more stunning effects and visuals in The Mandalorian Season 3 and an even more expansive story. And based on Favreau’s track record, there’s no reason not to trust that he won’t follow through on his promises. Season 3 of The Mandalorian will premiere on March 1, 2023 on Disney+.
