Daniel Craig Spoke About James Bond Casting Rumours! [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – Daniel Craig has shared his thoughts on the future of James Bond after his exit from the role.

Former James Bond actor Daniel Craig doesn’t spend his free time speculating who might be the next to don the 007 suit. But that doesn’t mean he won’t be there to support whoever gets the role. Last year, Craig bid farewell to Bond with the final instalment of his five-film series, No Time to Die, which began with Casino Royale in 2006. Based on the final ending of No Time to Die, it’s pretty clear that Craig has indeed left the role of the iconic secret agent.

No new actor has been announced yet, so the rumour mill may continue to churn.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has recently emerged as an actor who could potentially play the role. In a new interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Josh Horowitz asked Craig about this. Craig admitted that he hadn’t heard any of these rumours. Simply because he’s not paying attention. He is not on social media and spends his free time doing other things. The actor says he doesn’t care or pay attention to rumours about his James Bond role.

“I don’t really pay any attention. I just, there’s a lot of noise. I mean, I don’t go on the internet. I don’t have a social media account or whatever it is. So, I just… it’s what it is.”

That’s not to say Craig doesn’t care about the future of the franchise’s James Bond. He’s just not participating in fantasy casting. He’s not trying to figure out who might be the next person to get the role. When the 26th Bond film inevitably arrives with a new actor, Craig clarifies that he will be among the first to see the movie. As he said when asked if he would be there for the next film:

“Yes, of course. I’ll be front and center.”

For now, we can only speculate who will play the next James Bond. One thing we can be sure of is that the new film is on its way, given the franchise’s unbroken popularity.
