The world-famous mixed martial artist and UFC fighter Conor McGregor described the latest UFC video game with unexpected words.
Former UFC featherweight and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor recently took to Twitter to slam the latest UFC video game, EA Sports UFC 4. Conor McGregor had a Hall of Fame career in the UFC, notably being the first fighter in the company’s history to simultaneously hold championship titles in two different weight divisions.
McGregor’s flamboyant personality and impressive winning record cemented him as one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time. His success in the Octagon has made McGregor a true mainstream star, making his feature film debut in the upcoming Road House remake and frequent media appearances. McGregor’s last UFC fight was a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He hasn’t officially retired, but it’s unclear when he will return, if at all.
McGregor recently took to Twitter to share a picture of an old EA Sports UFC 2 promo video he made with YouTuber KSI. Noting the Burberry scarf, McGregor praised the early EA Sports UFC games while throwing the latest iteration under the bus. McGregor called EA Sports UFC 4 “garbaiste,” which translates to “garbage” in his own slang. It’s worth noting that McGregor was one of EA Sports UFC 2’s cover athletes, so it’s possible he’s a bit biased.
The big bad boss of @Burberry. Damn those early ufc games where the best. The new one current is garbáiste. pic.twitter.com/aDANT0AKj9

McGregor shared the cover of EA Sports UFC 2 with Ronda Rousey, who remains one of the most famous UFC fighters of all time. Since retiring from MMA, Rousey has focused on her home life and competing in WWE. Rousey is currently the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and was one of the first women to ever main event WrestleMania, so it’s safe to say she’s had a lot of success in professional pankration.
After sharing the cover of EA Sports UFC 2 with Rousey, McGregor would appear alone on the cover of EA Sports UFC 3. EA Sports UFC 4 cover athletes were Jorge Masvidal and Israel Adesanya. That particular game came out in 2020, and at the time of writing, no new entrants to the franchise have been announced, so it’s anyone’s guess as to who the next cover athlete could be.
As for McGregor’s offense, it’s worth noting that EA Sports UFC 2, 3, and 4 received similar reviews from critics, with a combined rating of 77, 78, and 77, respectively. The original EA Sports UFC game was actually the worst rated.
EA Sports UFC 4 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
