Ronan Vibert, Veteran Television and Movie Actor, Passed Away at the Age of 58

CINEMA NEWS – Ronan Vibert, known for Saving Mr. Banks, The Pianist, The Borgias and the Hatfields & They are known for their roles in the McCoys movies, and also appeared in the video game Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

 

Veteran screen and small screen actor Ronan Vibert has passed away. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vibert died in a Florida hospital after a short illness, although details about the illness are not yet known. The man was 58 years old.

Born in 1964 in Cambridgeshire, England, Vibert attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art as an adult. His television career began there after he played the role of Lee in the 1989 miniseries Traffic. After that, Vibert made several appearances in series such as the BBC’s The Buccaneers, Jeeves and Wooster and Lovejoy. He even played a part in the horror series Tales from the Crypt, this episode was “Horror in the Night”.

It didn’t take long for Vibert to take its first steps from the small screen to the big screen. His first feature film was 1998’s Tale of the Mummy, starring Christopher Lee, Shelley Duvall and Jason Scott Lee. Another notable role was Wolfgang Mullet in the 2000 film Shadow of the Vampire, starring John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe. He also played the role of Andrzej Bogucki in Roman Polanski’s critically acclaimed drama The Pianist. The film won numerous awards, including the BAFTA Awards for Best Film and Best Director, as well as Academy Awards for Best Director, Best Actor (Adrien Brody) and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Vibert continued acting in the 2000s and 2010s, entering new worlds as an actor. In 2002, he played the role of the evil Laird in the animated film The Princess and the Pea. In 2013,

Some of Vibert’s notable television roles in the 2010s include Perry Cline in the 2012 Hatfields & in the McCoys miniseries, Sir Geoffrey Hawkes in the Penny Dreadful series, and Giovanni Sforza in the Showtime original series The Borgias. Vibert also continued to appear in films. His later notable roles include Isaac Grainger in 2011’s The Last Seven and Simion in 2014’s Dracula Untold.

He also played Vibert in the Disney biographical drama Saving Mr. Banks. Vibert would play the role of Diarmuid Russell, who plays P.L. Published by Travers. In the film, Travers (played by Emma Thompson) battled Walt Disney himself (Tom Hanks) during the filming of Mary Poppins, which became one of the crown jewels of the Walt Disney Studios. Vibert was also set to play Gunnar Hagen in the infamous 2017 psychological thriller The Snowman. Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Val Kilmer and J.K. The film, starring Simmons, was notoriously panned by critics.

Vibert’s last role was as Ritter Longerbane in Amazon’s Carnival Row. The series stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne and is set in a world where elves are oppressed outcasts who live among humans. Carnival Row premiered in 2019 with an eight-episode first season. The second season of the series will premiere on February 17, 2023. It is not yet known whether Vibert’s death will affect the production of the series.

Survivors include Vibert’s wife, Jess Grand Vibert. According to Deadline, there will be a private ceremony in the next few days for close family members only, and the celebration of life is planned to be held in London in 2023.
