To cap off a busy week, Xbox Game Pass is expanding to include a current-generation port of a 2022 title on Xbox and PC.
Xbox Game Pass has steadily released new games on its service over the past week. February 16 was no exception, as Shadow Warrior 3 was added to the platform. Despite Shadow Warrior 3 initially being a 2022 release, a current-gen port of the game was released today. So the latest version of the game will indeed be released on Game Pass on day one.
The addition of Shadow Warrior 3 follows the February 13 release of the Wild Hearts 10-hour trial and the February 14 addition of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord. Another notable addition to Xbox Game Pass was City Skylines Remastered on February 15, with Atomic Heart arriving on February 21.
Shadow Warrior 3 is a first-person shooter that follows the series’ protagonist, Lo Wang. Master Wang also battles demons and other monsters to save humanity while having fun and having fun. The particular version coming to Xbox Game Pass is Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition, which offers improved performance on modern consoles and includes new additions. Among them are Survival Mode and New Game Plus, as well as added difficulty options.
Several well-received games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in February. For example, Alien: Isolation and Octopath Traveler. Fortunately, seeing the recent releases, it’s reassuring to know the value the service offers. Given the range of highly rated titles coming to the platform, most people will have plenty to choose from. Whether it’s the bigger releases, indie titles or somewhere in between that interests them most.
Although not much is known about what’s planned for the service in March 2023, if the rumours prove true, Ghostwire: Tokyo will be coming to Xbox Game Pass with additional content.
In addition, the action RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is due on March 3, and the baseball simulator MLB: The Show 23 is due on March 28. If all of this holds true, next month could prove to be a strong one. But even with the current offering, it’s hard to argue that Xbox Game Pass still offers value.
