Millie Bobby Brown Could Caused A Promising Stranger Things Spin-off Project To Be Cancelled?!

MOVIE NEWS – Millie Bobby Brown has reportedly been offered a very lucrative offer for an Eleven spinoff series, but the actress has turned it down.

The Stranger Things writers are trying to clear the air after rumours of an Eleven spinoff series surfaced in the media. Recently, The Daily Mail published a report that Millie Bobby Brown has been offered $12 million to reprise her role as Eleven in her own spinoff. According to the report, Brown turned down the offer. She wanted to “branch out” into other roles and leave Stranger Things behind after season 5. However, the official Twitter account of the show’s writers’ room announced that the story was false. They claim that “nothing” about the rumour is true. This suggests that there were never any plans to make an Eleven series.

Their tweet reads, “Yeah there’s nothing in this article that is true. Don’t know why we have to keep debunking this rumor but get those clicks you guys!!”

The show’s creators, the Duffer brothers, have also denied that a new spinoff is in the works, focusing on Eleven or the other main characters of Stranger Things. Speaking to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, they said that it would be more interesting for them to focus on different characters that viewers don’t know that well yet.

“It’s not following… I’ve read these rumors that there’s gonna be an Eleven spinoff, that there’s gonna be a Steve and Dustin spinoff or that it’s another number,” they explained. “That’s not interesting to me because we’ve done all that. We’ve spent I don’t know how many hours exploring all of that. So it’s very different.”

Stranger Things lives on; Millie Bobby Brown moves on

Although the rumours have been vehemently denied, they do seem more believable. Especially when you consider that Millie Bobby Brown recently confirmed that she wants to move on from Stranger Things. She did not say that she had received a big money offer to lead a possible spinoff. However, Brown said earlier this month that he was ready to end her role as Eleven and focus on new endeavours.

“I’m definitely ready to wrap up,” she told Seventeen Magazine. “I feel like there’s a lot of the story that’s been told now, and we know of it, it’s been in our lives for a very long time.”

“But I’m very ready to say goodbye to this chapter of my life and open new ones up. I can create stories that are important to me and focus on the bigger picture. But I’m really grateful [for the show].”

The good news is that Brown could still be seen in the role of Eleven as she returns for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. Let’s hope the series’ final season brings the character’s story to a satisfying conclusion. Especially if this is indeed the last time viewers will see him.
