Could Sicario 3 Be In Trouble?! Josh Brolin Has Spoken

MOVIE NEWS – Actor Josh Brolin has cast doubt on the release of Sicario 3 and admitted that making the third instalment will be a challenge.

Fans of the hit franchise have been eagerly awaiting news of the third instalment. However, their hopes were dashed with actor Josh Brolin’s latest update on the progress of the project. In an interview with Variety, Brolin shared his concerns about the delay of Sicario 3.

As a recurring character who played CIA officer Matt Graver in the previous two films, Brolin explained why the film is not yet ready despite much fan demand.

The actor said that bringing the third film to life was a challenge. Although the first two films were a financial success, the third film is still difficult to get off the ground.

“Sicario 3, we’ve been trying to get that right and get that going, but why hasn’t it happened? How long can you wait? A tough movie to get made even though the two made money, and people are asking about it all the time.”

Sicario, released in 2015, was a critical and commercial success. The film, directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Emily Blunt as FBI agent Kate Macer, told the story of an obscure government task force. The group was involved in an ongoing war against drugs and the Mexican cartel. The sequel, Day of the Soldado, was released in 2018 and continued the story of Matt Graver and Alejandro Gillick. Directed by Stefano Sollima, the film received mixed reviews from critics but still piqued the interest of fans of the franchise.

Recently, there have been several reports that a third film is in the pipeline. Fans were eager to see where the story would go from there. Although Brolin’s update was disappointing, the film industry is unpredictable, and there is always a chance that the project could be revived in the future.
