Tom Cruise Amazes Even His Fellow Stars With His Stuns On The New M:I’s Set!

MOVIE NEWS – Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One star Vanessa Kirby recalls Tom Cruise’s fearless nature while filming the movie’s motorbike jump.

Vanessa Kirby, star of Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning, is shocked by the fearless motorbike stunt of Tom Cruise. The film will be the seventh instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, in which Cruise returns as super spy Ethan Hunt. Christopher McQuarrie will once again direct the sequel. The franchise has become known for delivering the most incredible stunts in cinema, and the next instalment promises to do the same.

Kirby, who returns to the franchise as The White Widow, spoke to Variety about Cruise’s fearless nature after witnessing his dedication to filming the motorcycle stunt from the first Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning.

Footage from the stunt showed Cruise riding off a giant cliff with a parachute on his back. According to Kirby, he witnessed Cruise perform the motorcycle jump several times in a single day. The actor showed no fear; he was dedicated to the shot. As the actress put it:

“He did it many times in one day. He did it consecutively … and repeatedly so he could capture all the different angles and sides of it … He was just so calm. He had no fear. He just found it exhilarating. That kind of belief in cinema and what one could achieve and his passion for it is so inspiring. He kind of believes he can do the impossible and then he does… I love being a part of the franchise. I’m really excited to come back.”

The first Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning has already featured several big stunts in the trailer, behind-the-scenes footage and even on the film’s poster.

The motorbike jump by Tom Cruise seems to be the most notable action sequence. CinemaCon footage also hints at a 20-minute car chase. There will also be a fight on top of a train before it derails. Cruise shows no signs of stopping, with Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two due out next year. The actor also plans to shoot his first film in space. The first Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning will be in cinemas in July.
