PS5 Slim: Is This What the New Version of PlayStation 5 Would Look Like?! [VIDEO]

According to a rumor, Sony is planning to release a PS5 Slim model that will be smaller and lighter than the original PS5 and will also have a removable disk drive. The rumor was started by a video shared on Twitter and Rockstar’s official website.

The PS5 Slim would be a model that Sony would make of the PS5 to make it cheaper and more portable. The PS5 Slim would be 5 centimeters lower than the original PS5, but would remain the same thickness. The weight of the console would also be reduced and the disc drive would be removable. The console would also get two USB-C ports on the front.

There is no official confirmation of the PS5 Slim yet, only a video uploaded to Twitter by a user named BwE_Dev. The user claims that this is the CFI-2016 PS5 case. In the video you can see that the console has a black slot in the middle, which is probably used to mount the disc drive.

The PS5 Slim wouldn’t look much different from the original PS5 on the outside, but it might be different on the inside. Some rumors suggest that Sony would use a different processor in the PS5 Slim that would produce less heat and consume less power. This could improve the console’s performance and cooling.

The release date for the PS5 Slim is not yet known, but it is likely to debut next year. It could be an interesting option for those who haven’t yet made the switch from PS4 to PS5. The console would hopefully be cheaper than the original PS5, which currently costs $500.
