Mark Zuckerberg Throws In The Towel – What Happens To “The Fight Of The Century”?!

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Sunday that he is ending his cage match with Elon Musk.

Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a post on his Threads page: “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”

He added: “If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”

The move to end planning for an epic fight has been expected for some time. The battle of the billionaires was planned for the Colosseum in Rome, among other venues, and proceeds would go to veterans’ organizations, Musk said.

Elon Musk has hit back at Mark Zuckerberg

Elon Musk has hit back at Mark Zuckerberg after the Meta founder called on him to “move on” from his fight with the owner of X/Twitter.

Musk and Zuckerberg agreed on a match that would be broadcast on their social media platforms, but the billionaires did not agree on a date. Tired of waiting, Zuckerberg issued a statement saying it was time to put the cage fight behind him.

Following Zuckerberg’s statement, Musk threw a few punches at his opponent on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Zuck is a chicken,” Musk posted.

In another post, where an X user suggested that Zuckerberg was “trying to chicken out” of his battle with Musk, the latter replied, “He can’t eat at chic fil a because that would be cannibalism.”

In response to another user, Musk added: “Can’t wait to bang on his door tomorrow.”(Musk had previously told Zuckerberg that he would be in Palo Alto on Monday and suggested they “fight in [Zuckerberg’s] Octagon”.)
