14 Million Views for the First Star Wars: Ahsoka

MOVIE NEWS – Lucasfilm and The Walt Disney Company announced that the first part of Star Wars: Ahsoka, The Master, and His Apprentice, was the most watched content on Disney+ in the past week. The debut episode reached 14 million views, which catapulted the series to first place worldwide.

 

“Ahsoka has become a fan favorite of all ages, and it’s wonderful to see her continue to resonate with viewers in her own series,” said Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm president.“I want to acknowledge the fantastic work of our creative team led by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, the incredible cast led by Rosario Dawson, and the talented crew – and on behalf of the team and all of Lucasfilm, thank you to the fans who have followed Ahsoka every step of the way, and to all those who are just now getting to know her on Disney+.”

Disney+’s latest self-produced series takes place after the fall of the Empire and follows the adventures of Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi Knight, who this time travels to a vulnerable galaxy to investigates a lurking threat. The plot will be another interesting addition to the franchise set in a galaxy far, far away, giving a deeper look into Ahsoka’s own story and past, as well as the Star Wars universe.

In addition to Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Hera Syndulla), Ray Stevenson (Baylan Skoll), Ivanna Sakhno (Shin Hati) will appear in the main roles. , Diana Lee Inosanto (Morgan Elsbeth), David Tennant (Huyang), Lars Mikkelsen (Admiral Thrawn) and Eman Esfandi (Ezra Bridger).

The series is written by Dave Filoni, who also acted as an executive producer alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson and Carrie Beck.

The first part of “Star Wars: Ahsoka” was uploaded to Disney+ on August 23, three episodes are currently available. “Star Wars: Ahsoka” new episodes available every Wednesday exclusively on Disney+.
