Daredevil: Born Again: Fate Of The Upcoming Marvel Series Finally Revealed!

MOVIE NEWS – Marvel Studios 2024 release schedule updated. All of this seemingly confirms the supposed fate of the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again…

Disney’s latest release schedule update seems to confirm what we’ve been hearing about the supposed fate of Daredevil: Born Again. The series was initially announced in May 2022 by writers Matt Corman and Chris Ord. Charlie Cox will once again star in the rebooted series. Marvel planned to introduce it in 2024. But in September 2023, we received terrible news. According to various sources, a significant delay in the production of the series was inevitable.

In a post on Disney.com, it appears that this supposed delay has been almost entirely confirmed.

The post in question details the major Disney+ releases coming in 2024, from Star Wars and MCU efforts to various other Disney productions.

As for the Marvel Studios franchise, only Echo and Agatha: Darkhold Diaries for the MCU are on the list. As well as the animated film X-Men ’97. It seems that the Daredevil series has now been officially confirmed to be pushed back to 2025.

What about the MCU’s Daredevil: Born Again series?

Those familiar with the workings of Marvel Studio’s various productions will know the issues with Daredevil: Born Again. It is worth examining exactly what kind of misfortunes befell the long-awaited series. In September 2023, various outlets reported that the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes had allowed Marvel Studios executives to take a closer look at their TV series in development.

According to these insights, Daredevil: Born Again simply wasn’t working in the eyes of Marvel’s higher-ups, leading to a complete overhaul of the series, as well as Marvel Studios’ entire MCU TV production schedule.

Corman and Ord left as head writers. Dario Scardapane was signed to replace them. Scardapane will reportedly serve as more of a traditional showrunner as Marvel Studios has begun transitioning all TV productions to a more conventional TV format than the franchise used in its previous Disney+ productions. The new Daredevil would reportedly switch to this more serialized format. Also, you’d get rewrites that align with the tone of Netflix’s Daredevil. Moon Knight and Loki season 2 directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson have also been hired. With this, the series revision is apparently completed until the now certainly 2025 release.
