Even Though The Witcher 3 is 9 Years Old, it Still has Secrets! [VIDEO]

Nearly nine years after The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, there are still several elements of CD Projekt RED’s (CDPR) game that have only recently come to light…

One YouTuber, xLetails, has been documenting the esoteric and arcane elements of the massive The Witcher 3 since the game’s release. It’s been almost nine years since the last (for now) story part of Geralt of Rivia was released, and you can still find easter eggs in it. The latest one is reported by IGN, and it seems that CDPR has also thought of those who are able to go beyond the boundaries of the game…

Below Novigrad (literally) is a Tamerian soldier pointing at the player, Uncle Sam style, and below him is the inscription CDPR Needs You. xLetails learned this by having a viewer glitch under Novigrad himself. He couldn’t do it, but he used a console command to get to the drawing. He couldn’t find the same thing elsewhere, but he remembered something similar, but certainly not in the third The Witcher, but in the first one back in 2007 (Vizima), when the Polish developers parodied the posters for the US recruitment…

According to xLetails, this must have been a serious recruitment effort by CDPR, because if someone was able to get the hidden drawing without any cheating, they have the knowledge to do a proper quality assurance test job. The drawing may have been a response to the bug that allowed getting under Novigrad, but it’s not the same as what the xLetails viewer was able to do.

Previously, there was an easter egg that didn’t appear until seven years into the game, or the ARG/easter egg (FF:06:B5) that appeared in Cyberpunk 2077. So CDPR has a knack for keeping people interested in their games.
