The Square Enix IP will soon be more widely available on PC, as currently Kingdom Hearts games can only be purchased through a platform that not everyone uses.
Kingdom Hearts is currently only available on PC through the Epic Games Store, but that’s about to change: Square Enix has announced that Sora, Donald, and Goofy (for some reason they always named the characters in that order, it’s become kind of a meme…) will be migrating to Valve’s platform, so games currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and EGS on PC (plus they can be played from the cloud on Switch) will be coming to Steam on June 13.
The Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece includes the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind collections. Each of these includes multiple games (except for KH III, which includes the base game and Re Mind DLC). The first collection includes the final mix versions of the first two episodes, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days with HD cinematics, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded with HD cinematics. The 2.8 pack includes Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage and a movie, Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover.
The trailer will be premiered by Square Enix on May 21 at 8:01 AM Pacific and will feature a new version of the series’ theme song Simple and Clean by Hikaru Utada. So you’ll have to wait until then to see it, but it’s not far off. Meanwhile, Square Enix is already working on Kingdom Hearts 4, but Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the series, is also working on the Final Fantasy VII Remake project…
Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece will be released on Steam on June 13th, but if you only want Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, or Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind from the collection, they’ll be available separately.
