MOVIE NEWS – SkyShowtime has released the trailer for the upcoming third season of its hit series, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The series is currently filming its fourth season in Toronto. The all-new third season will premiere later this year, exclusively on SkyShowtime.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows the years when Captain Christopher Pike was in command of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series follows the adventures of Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock, the First Officer, and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise as they explore new worlds across the galaxy before Captain Kirk even stepped aboard the ship. Season three picks up with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, led by Captain Pike, as they conclude the story of their harrowing encounter with the Gorn in season two. They encounter new lifeforms and civilizations, including an enemy that will test their resilience and determination. Season three takes the classic Star Trek formula to new heights with new and beloved characters and takes them on gripping adventures of faith, duty, romance, comedy, and mystery—and touches on genres never before seen in Star Trek.

Fan favorites Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun and Martin Quinn return, with guest appearances by Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O’Sullivan, Melanie Scrofano and Carol Kane, and a special guest appearance by Paul Wesley. The series is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Executive producers are Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Davy Perez, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Chris Fisher, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth. Akiva Goldsman (Weed Road Pictures) and Henry Alonso Myers (HMRX) serve as showrunners. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
