The Witcher 3: Eternal Hunt is a massive new expansion that you can now play for free.

The Witcher 3 has been significantly expanded thanks to a new mod: new quests, enemies, new items and much more. If you’ve been following the latest Witcher news, you’ve probably seen that CD Projekt Red has introduced official, updated mod support for The Witcher 3.

If you search for The Witcher 3 on Steam, you’ll see that you can now download the REDkit mod tools to make your own version of the game, complete with modding, scripting and other tools.

All this opens the way to a lot of new possibilities within the game. You can even modify the game’s DLC.

However, if you don’t want to get your hands dirty, you can always download some pre-made mods from NexusMods. One of these will significantly expand your game. It’s called Eternal Hunt, and you can download it for free right now to add hours of new content to the game.

According to the mod’s official description, “new animations, scenes, enemies, items, armor, weapons, lore, effects, pseudo-quests, and much, much more. Its features number in the several hundreds.” It goes on to say that it also supports other in-game systems, including “real-time meditation, auto-hide weapons for cloaks, wearable pocket items, blood/gore system, 3D HUD markers, weather system, ice-breath, and more.”

The Witcher 3 is already a huge game, but the Eternal Hunt mod aims to make it a little bigger and hopefully keep you hooked for a while.

Overall, The Witcher 3: Eternal Night is worth adding to your game. Along with news about the development of The Witcher 4, it’s the perfect time to pass the time before the next season of the Netflix series. (Or instead, according to taste…)
