Wolfs: The George Clooney-Brad Pitt Movie Could Debut Any Moment?!

MOVIE NEWS – The trailer for Wolfs, if everything is accurate, will be posted online tomorrow, that is, Wednesday…

Earlier we heard that Jon Watts’ film Wolfs is already eyeing a sequel. Movie stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt return. Sony has scheduled the first film for September 20, 2024. We can probably prepare for an autumn festival – Venice? TIFF? Telluride? All three?

On Wednesday morning, Wolfs will debut worldwide in a 2-minute trailer.

The project, written and directed by Watts, stars Pitt and Clooney. They play “lone wolf fixers” (solvers) assigned to the same task. As mentioned, they had so much fun making the film that they are already working on the sequel. As Clooney recently put it (via Deadline):

“We’re already talking about a sequel for this film I did with Brad and Jon Watts. It was a great shoot and Jon is an extraordinarily talented guy who’s also really joyful. He loves what he does. We had a blast doing it and we’ve seen it. It’s an off the charts great film and it’s fun to work with Brad again.”

After his Sundance breakthrough debut, Cop Car, Watts was primarily active in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He directed all three MCU Spider-Man movies marked by Tom Holland’s name.

However, Wolfs steers Watts far from the MCU. But it is no less a significant project, which in 2022 triggered a massive bidding war between a bunch of studios. Apple eventually won the rights to the film. The film is distributed by Sony and produced by Apple TV.

Wolfs, which is set to wrap in fall 2023, reunites Clooney and Pitt. They previously worked together in the Coen brothers’ Burn After Reading and Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s movies. It will be interesting to see if this kind of high-powered star power can pump energy into the so far somewhat dormant 2024 movie season.
