Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered: Not Spending Christmas with It! [VIDEO]

Until now we only knew that the updated version of Grasshopper Manufacture’s game would be released this year, but now we know the release date to the day.

The Hella Remastered version is now available for pre-order and can be purchased for $/€25. We can start the game up to three days earlier, so we can see that those who pay a lot in advance will have an advantage over others. The remastered edition will also have new features such as the New Game+ mode, support for 4K resolution (this will not be available on all platforms), but there will also be new costumes (Demonio Garcia, Ocho Corazones, Placa Garcia, Kamikaze Garcia). Join Garcia Hotspur and his bony sidekick, Johnson, as they journey through the depths of the underworld to rescue Garcia’s kidnapped lover, Paula, from the clutches of Fleming, the Lord of the Underworld. Let the soul of rock ‘n’ roll run wild in the heart of the twisted hellscape that is the Underworld.

The forces of light and darkness will pave your way. Like ravers in a nightclub, demons are empowered by the dark, but weakened by the light. Use your sidekick Johnson to blast your way through the darkness of the underworld. Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered is a third-person shooter created by industry legends Goichi Suda (No More Heroes, Killer7, etc.) and Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, God Hand, etc.).

Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered will be released on October 31 (or October 28 for pre-orders) for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The original game was released by Electronic Arts in 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It’s still hard to believe that back then, the publisher even dared to open up to such crazy games; today, only indie studios can try their hand at EA Originals.

So (unless we have a huge backlog of unplayed games) we’ll literally be grinding this one out by Christmas.
