Stellar Blade: A PC Port Is on the Way, But That’s Not the Only Good News!

Studio Shift Up is looking for a collaborator for the PC port of Stellar Blade, as well as a designer of new monsters, which suggests that a DLC may also be in the works…

Until now, it may have seemed that all the planned content for Stellar Blade has been released. But all signs point to that not being the case, and there’s more to come for Korean developer Shift Up’s sci-fi hack-and-slash RPG. Below, we will talk about the PC port, but also about a possible add-on that was hinted at months ago and which may have now given its first signs of life in a job offer.

If we visit Shift Up’s official job posting page, two Stellar Blade job postings catch our attention.

One is for “PC development,” which says they’re looking for someone “to contribute to the development of the combat for a AAA console action game.” The job also says “PC systems related.” This would confirm that a PC port is already in development. However, it is not known how long it will last or when it will be released.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that the PC version of Stellar Blade was becoming more and more likely. However, it has not yet been officially confirmed. On the other hand, another job advertisement said they are looking for a “combat designer”. His job is “Monster Creation”, which could indicate that they are working on an expansion or a big DLC. We’re not talking about the Boss Challenge mode since it was released on May 24th, but the studio may be busy with content that expands the title’s story.

Stellar Blade has a lot more to come

Recently, the director of Stellar Blade promised that they will do everything to make the sci-fi RPG an amazing game. (Even though it’s already a bestseller…) Director Kim Hyung Tae hinted that there might be DLC or even a sequel.

“We were delighted to see that it was very well received and that people were happy with what we came up with. There were parts that we missed, but there were also parts that were successful. The story was designed with a broader narrative in mind. Something that couldn’t have been fully explored in a single game. We carefully controlled how much of the story we reveal in this part,” he explained.
