Worth Playing the Old PlayStation Games Again?! A Touching Experience for a Gamer!

The player knew that his father “worked at Sony”, but not that he contributed to several PlayStation 3 titles…

Many developers swell with pride when they see their names on the cast list of video games that have left a mark on the hearts of gamers. BigManWilll’s case is even more touching, as the user learned that his father, who passed away more than a year ago, was involved in the development of LittleBigPlanet! And he only realized this after dusting off his old PlayStation 3 to play again the title that defined part of his childhood.

BigManWill told his story on Reddit and asked the gaming community a question: “I found my old ps3 with a few games I remember from my childhood today and loaded up LittleBigPlanet to find my dad who died just over a year ago in the credits” – the user wrote in his post. – I knew he had worked at sony at some point but I never knew he was featured in the credits of any playstation games. I won’t say exactly who he is on this page but does anyone know how I could find any other games he is credited for?”

What is the answer to the PlayStation gamer’s question?

Reddit users were quick to respond to BigManWill’s question. Some have suggested that it’s worth taking a look at the portfolio of Media Molecule, the studio behind LittleBigPlanet. However, the majority of the community advised us to visit a website that serves as a database of video games: MobyGames. After visiting the site, the gamer claims to have found other PS3 projects involving his father:

“Thank you to the people that directed me to moby games – turns out there’s a few Buzz games, motorstorm, wipeout and a handful more!”

As is often the case, some players took the opportunity to commemorate the developer’s great contribution to the world of video games: “Cool! your dad was a part of making our childhood” (PuzzleheadedKale468). “Your father was an absolute legend” (TheStrangeOne45). A family anecdote that, as a whole, helped put the work of a professional back into the spotlight…
