S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Arrives on Switch! [VIDEO]

While we wait for the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the three episodes of the franchise so far will be released in a collection for Nintendo’s soon-to-be successor platform.

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone trilogy will include three games (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat), but will also be available individually. All three games have been optimized for Nintendo Switch. They’ve fine-tuned the aiming system, which can also be used via gyro on the big N platform.

The interface can be used with the touchscreen, the graphics have been tweaked (somewhat necessary, although these games are over 10 years old), and there is full support for handheld and TV (docked) modes. Thanks to all this, GSC Game World believes that exploring the Zone will be a credible experience for all players, whether they’re adventuring there for the first time or returning after a few (ten?) hours on the PC (or console: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 6, and can be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series thanks to backwards compatibility).

After several delays, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl was released for PC in March 2007, and the game, which used the X-Ray engine, was a big hit with configurations at the time, but Crysis took over the role at the end of the year. This was followed by its prequel, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, in August 2008, and then its sequel, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, in the fall of 2009 (and localized in Europe in February 2010). In all three titles we got a first-person shooter and survival horror… with some vodka, of course.

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone trilogy is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 31st. You can buy the three games together for €40, but if you only want one title, you’ll have to pay €20 per game.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
