Samsung Galaxy S25: Widespread Camera Bug Causes Frustration

TECH NEWS – This bug was somehow missed during the South Korean company’s testing processes, and now more and more people are running into it.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 models have already been announced (and the Galaxy S25 Edge, the thinner model, is still in the works). The smartphones have been promised big updates: they’ve improved the camera, made some design changes, and have better Galaxy AI features for AI lovers. But it seems that the camera is not perfect!

If you use the Galaxy S25’s camera in low light, you’ll get some surprising results. Users are also shocked by this and believe that Samsung may have relied too much on artificial intelligence rather than hardware. On Reddit, we read several complaints about the South Korean phone. There is a banding problem where streaks or lines appear in low-light photos. This degrades the quality of the images and seems to be related to either post-processing or shooting in night mode.

“I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S25 base model and I noticed that in some pictures with strong light or high contrast a thick line appears that seems to have a different color, it appears quite often and I don’t know if it’s a software or hardware problem, in expert raw or gcam this line is not visible. is anyone else having this problem?” the Reddit user wrote.

The camera glitch, according to Tom’s Guide, occurred during astrophotography when the site used the 200-megapixel camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The camera banding was thought to be caused by over-processing. The white streaks disappeared when the camera was tested in Pro mode with a shutter speed of 30 seconds. Manually adjusting the shutter speed may help minimize the problem.

Samsung promises a fix in the next update, which will apply stabilization code to camera movements and fix the banding problem. This still makes it a surprising bug!
