Forza Horizon 6: Nine Minutes of Driving in Japan [VIDEO]

Thanks to IGN, we can see some more relaxed driving in a video of the Forza spin-off that has essentially become the main franchise.

IGN began its Forza Horizon 6 IGN First preview with a nine-minute gameplay video that showcases the game’s stunning depiction of Japan. The video starts in the south of the map, passes through various areas, and reaches the suburbs of Tokyo. It then circles the outskirts of the city and returns to the north, ending at one of the game’s permanent racetracks. Based on the video, the different biomes blend together nicely. IGN clarified that Playground Games reduced the traffic in the video so viewers could better appreciate the environment instead of having to navigate busy roads. Therefore, when we play the latest installment of Forza Horizon, we will probably encounter more traffic.

The video was recorded with a Saleen S7, which was a somewhat random choice. The car featured on the game’s cover is actually a Toyota GR GT. IGN explained that Forza Horizon 6 could not be shown in gameplay at this stage because the manufacturer had not yet approved it, as is customary with licensed racing games. IGN also noted that the British development team built special features and experiences into the game for players who simply enjoy driving without specific goals, races, or direction.

They also reported that Horizon/Forza Edition cars will return in Forza Horizon 6. These special versions of existing cars have unique bonuses and have been significantly improved compared to previous versions. However, no further details were released. Perhaps the upcoming report will include information about new event types and customization improvements.

Forza Horizon 6 will be released on May 19 for Xbox Series and PC and will arrive on PlayStation 5 sometime this year.
