Reliable leaker Billbil-kun claims Bethesda‘s sprawling space RPG Starfield will arrive on PS5 on April 7, with pre-orders expected to open around March 17.
After months of speculation, Starfield‘s PS5 port appears to be nearly here. Trusted leaker Billbil-kun has revealed that the game will launch on Sony‘s console on April 7. It will be available in two editions: a Standard version at €49.99 / £44.99, and a Premium version at €69.99 — notably, unlike the original Xbox release, the Premium edition will not include any early access period.
The pricing is telling: the Standard edition’s €49.99 price point matches what Avowed launched at on PS5, suggesting a deliberate Microsoft strategy of pricing first-party titles below their original $69.99 on Sony‘s platform. Pre-orders are expected to go live this month, reportedly around March 17.
The PS5 release represents what may be Starfield‘s best chance at a second impression. The game launched to mixed reception in 2023, and Todd Howard has indicated that upcoming updates will not represent a sweeping overhaul on the scale of Cyberpunk 2077‘s 2.0 patch — meaning expectations should be tempered accordingly.
