Roblox: The Native PlayStation 5 Port Is Now Available!

Roblox Corporation’s game no longer needs backward compatibility on Sony’s current-generation console.

Although Roblox makes it easier to show up across a range of platforms, every creator the developers spoke with wanted to make sure their games felt just as good with a controller as they did anywhere else. That meant refining elements such as menu navigation and button layouts, and in some cases it even pushed teams toward building entirely new systems. Communication between players across different platforms is just as important as controls. Take BlushCrunch Studio’s popular roguelike mascot-horror game Dandy’s World, for example. When a Twisted is closing in on another Toon, the last thing you want is to scramble for a way to warn them. That is where stickers come in handy.

Now that Roblox is available natively on PlayStation 5, developers have even more room to deepen the experience thanks to the cutting-edge haptic feedback of the DualSense controller. The team behind Roblox is eager to see what people create. DualSense is only one part of what makes PlayStation 5 an exciting platform for Roblox studios, indie teams, and solo creators alike. From a visual standpoint, PlayStation 5 also gives creators a chance to present their games in a new light. A good example is NFL Universe Football. If you have not tried it yet, it is the only officially licensed arcade American football game on Roblox, where you can jump in with friends and take the field wearing the colors of any NFL team you like.

If you are after something properly creepy, Scary Shawarma Kiosk should do the trick. It is a cult-favorite horror game in which you work the night shift, serve increasingly strange and disturbing customers, and keep an eye out for unsettling anomalies. That eerie atmosphere becomes even more tangible on PlayStation 5. For many PlayStation 5 players, this will be their first real look at how much Roblox has evolved over the years. And the creators are ready to make that first impression count.

Roblox is available on Xbox One, PC, iOS, Android, Meta Quest, PlayStation 4, and now PlayStation 5 as well. The PS5 port can load things up to thirty times faster!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
