NIS America will release the Falcom-developed games for Sony and Nintendo’s current-generation consoles later this year.
In The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, we return to Crossbell in this exciting chapter of the franchise. As the site of ongoing territorial struggles between the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard, Crossbell has developed into a prosperous city-state and one of the continent’s leading economic centers. After three years away from his hometown, Lloyd Bannings returns to follow in his late brother’s footsteps and join the Crossbell Police Department. Upon arrival, however, he discovers that he has been assigned to the Special Support Section, a new division that handles odd jobs and minor requests. There, he meets his new teammates, including Elie MacDowell, the granddaughter of the city’s mayor; Randy Orlando, a womanizing ex-soldier; and Tio Plato, a young tech genius.
An exciting story arc in the Trails universe is about to begin in this iconic city-state. Experience a rich and refreshing game world filled with secrets and adventures. Thanks to enhanced visuals and high-definition textures, the city-state of Crossbell has never looked better. The new consoles support up to 120 FPS and up to 4K resolution. Players can switch between original and upscaled textures, while High-Speed Mode lets them move through the city at their own preferred pace. Rush through battles or savor the story – the choice is theirs. On Nintendo Switch 2, mouse support is also included.
The story of aspiring hero Lloyd Bannings continues in The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure. Set just a few months after the events of Trails from Zero, a temporary peace has settled over Crossbell, and the Special Support Section has gained new fame and recognition thanks to its heroic actions. That peace is soon disturbed by the emergence of several organizations with hidden agendas. These rising tensions are framed by increasing pressure from the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard, with Crossbell caught between them. With the safety of their home and the foundations of their team now at risk, Lloyd and his allies must prepare for the threats ahead. They do not yet realize that Crossbell will soon become the stage for a decisive conflict that will determine the city’s future.
Play through the finale of the Crossbell arc, one of the key storylines in the Trails universe. What awaits Lloyd Bannings and his colorful group of allies? Experience the new combat features introduced in Trails to Azure, including Burst, Back Attack, and your own customizable car. Players will also meet a few familiar faces from the Trails of Cold Steel series. Import save data from Trails from Zero for a different story experience, with additional conversations and alternate dialogue. Enjoy this sequel at up to 120 FPS or in 4K resolution, with either original or upscaled textures.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure will both arrive this fall for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. They will be available for purchase individually or together, with the bundle also receiving a physical edition.
