PlayStation has not only raised the price of PS Plus, but it is also about to remove one of the service’s strongest games. Red Dead Redemption is among the titles leaving the catalog, and it will remain available through Sony’s subscription service only until mid-June.
The PS Plus Extra catalog was updated this week with eight games, including Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws. However, as is typical of PlayStation’s subscription service strategy, the arrival of new titles also revealed which games will soon leave the platform. This time, the list includes five games, and one of the most striking names on it is the first Red Dead Redemption.
In other words, Red Dead Redemption 2 has arrived on the service just as the John Marston-led previous entry is preparing to leave PS Plus. The Extra plan’s catalog is constantly changing, so players could theoretically see the first Red Dead Redemption return in the future. For now, however, what is confirmed is that the game will leave the platform in mid-June, alongside the other titles listed below.
These Games Are Leaving PS Plus Extra And Premium In June 2026
- Red Dead Redemption (PS4, PS5)
- LEGO The Incredibles (PS4)
- Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition (PS4)
- Lawn Mowing Simulator (PS4, PS5)
- We Love Katamari Reroll (PS4, PS5)
PlayStation Has Also Raised The Price Of PS Plus
PlayStation has had a run of bad news around PS Plus. Beyond the imminent removal of the first Red Dead Redemption, the company has faced considerable criticism in recent days after announcing a price increase for its subscription service. That decision comes just weeks after the company also confirmed a price hike for the PS5, raising the entry price of Sony’s new-generation console to €599.99.
As if that were not enough, it has turned out that the PS Plus price increase applies to all subscription plans. In its initial statement, PlayStation only mentioned a price increase for the Essential plan and made no comment about the other PS Plus options. The company stayed silent for a few days before finally revealing that the increase also extends to Extra and Premium. As a result, the prices now look as follows.
- PS Plus Essential: €9.99/month and €27.99/quarter – previously €8.99 and €24.99.
- PS Plus Extra: €15.99/month and €43.99/quarter – previously €13.99 and €39.99.
- PS Plus Premium: €18.99/month and €54.99/quarter – previously €16.99 and €49.99.
PlayStation is therefore raising the subscription price while preparing to remove a classic that many players still see as one of the catalog’s strongest titles. The departure of Red Dead Redemption would already sting on its own, but alongside the price increase, it becomes harder to present this as just another routine monthly rotation.
