Microsoft and Ubisoft have expanded their partnership: owners of the digital Xbox editions of thirteen selected games will receive the PC versions through Ubisoft Connect at no extra cost, while additional premium editions and bonus content are also coming to computers.

The week has brought an unexpected gift for players who bought Ubisoft titles on Xbox but would also like to continue on PC. The companies’ new arrangement is more than a discount: eligible digital console purchases now include the corresponding computer edition without another payment. Existing purchases are covered as well, although older entitlements are being added gradually.

Thirteen Ubisoft Games Now Carry Over From Xbox to PC

The supported catalogue includes Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Far Cry 6, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Riders Republic, Skull and Bones, The Crew 2, The Crew Motorfest, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs Legion. The PC editions run through Ubisoft Connect.

New buyers should see both the console and PC entitlements immediately. Players who already owned one of the listed digital Xbox editions will receive the computer version during a staggered rollout scheduled to finish by August 4.

The Benefit Currently Works in Only One Direction

“Starting today, customers who purchase a digital version of the listed titles will immediately receive the digital versions for Xbox consoles and Xbox on PC,” Microsoft explained. There is one important limitation: PC-only owners will not automatically receive a console copy.

The partnership also brings selected premium editions and extra content to a wider range of Ubisoft games available through Xbox on PC. It is another part of Microsoft’s recent effort to reduce the boundaries between its console and computer ecosystems.
