This dark fantasy Souls-like action RPG has so far only been available on PlayStation 5 among consoles, but that’s about to change.
Full-price owners on PC and PlayStation 5 can look forward to receiving an exclusive Sealing Stone before the upcoming price drop on August 26. This stone is permanent and does not depend on ownership of any downloadable content. The stone, which unlocks a unique dungeon featuring a dedicated storyline, boss fight and special loot, will only be distributed until August 26. This limited item will not be distributed again afterward, serving as a permanent thank you to those who supported the game at its full price from the outset. Specific information on this exclusive reward and how it can be acquired will be revealed in due course.
Ahead of the expanded release and following a series of post-launch patches, the game is set to receive a major update as part of the studio’s ongoing commitment to supporting and refining the title. Since release, Project Cloud Games has actively incorporated community feedback. Rewards from common enemies have changed from gold to much-needed Relic Power, which aids skill progression. Additionally, new map icons have been added to improve the visibility of dungeon locations, making it easier to track down up to 80 relentless bosses known as Brutals.
The developers have continued to deliver on their promise by updating stability, NPC behavior, balancing, rewards, events, combat, progression, localization and general quality-of-life improvements since the game’s launch on July 31. This sustained developer support is already yielding results, with player ratings and reviews improving across platforms. With many more exciting community-inspired updates and new content planned by Project Cloud, The Relic: First Guardian continues steadily on its ambitious journey.
The Relic: First Guardian was released for PlayStation 5 and PC on July 31. The price will drop to £35 on August 26, from the current £50, or the equivalent in euros. The game, developed by Project Cloud Games and published by Perp Games, will be released for Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9.
