A $900 Xbox Series X25 Could Launch in November – It May Be the Most Expensive Xbox Ever

The special-edition Xbox Series X25 is reportedly set to launch on November 27 for $900. Its transparent green design could make it the most expensive Xbox ever, with Microsoft targeting collectors and hardware enthusiasts.

Microsoft announced the Xbox Series X25 during its summer Xbox Games Showcase. The console’s transparent green shell recalls the look of the original Xbox and deliberately taps into the nostalgia longtime fans associate with the brand’s classic hardware.

According to Dealabs, the special edition may go on sale on November 27. The report points to a $900 price, placing the system far above the current cost of a standard Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series X25 Targets Collectors Rather Than the Mass Market

A $900 price would move the console into PS5 Pro territory, while the main appeal of the special edition would come from its design and expected scarcity. Microsoft may therefore be selling rarity and collector value as much as raw hardware.

Players interested only in the matching controller will reportedly be able to purchase it for $80. That remains a premium price, but it offers a much more accessible way to obtain the transparent green styling than buying the entire system.

The price and November release date have not been officially confirmed, so they should be treated cautiously until Microsoft makes an announcement. If the report is accurate, Xbox Series X25 will show that the company still sees strong demand for limited hardware even as console prices continue to rise.
