[GC 2026] Turok: Origins Delayed – The Dinosaur Hunt Moves to Spring 2027 [VIDEO]

Saber Interactive has delayed Turok: Origins from its previously planned fall 2026 window to spring 2027. The fast-paced third-person dinosaur shooter is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

The game follows legendary Turok warriors as they battle vicious dinosaurs and an alien threat capable of destroying humanity. Its campaign can be played alone or with friends, sending the squad across the Lost Lands of several planets in search of answers that could decide the species’ survival.

The arsenal includes plasma rifles, sniper weapons, bows, shotguns, and close-range attacks. DNA extracted from defeated enemies changes and upgrades the combat suit in real time, unlocking new abilities as the battles escalate.

Locations range from ancient temples and wasteland canyons to dense jungles, swamps, caves, and alien worlds. The studio has not detailed the exact reason for the delay, but the new story trailer offers a broader look at the conflict’s galactic scale.

The extra development time should allow the team to refine its cooperative systems and varied enemy encounters. A precise spring release date will be announced later.
