During the Nintendo Direct, a ton of Nintendo Switch 2 ports were announced. It’s no surprise that this one is among them.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream tells the story of siblings Hanna and Herman. After Herman’s disappearance ignites a chain of catastrophic events that will forever change their lives and the fate of the entire city, the siblings are pulled into a web of revolution and resistance. With an emphasis on stealth, tactical decision-making, emotional storytelling, and cutting-edge cutscenes, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream aims to deliver a gripping and immersive gameplay experience. Players navigate the city of Eriksholm through the eyes of three characters, each with unique abilities, perspectives, and motivations.
The game was released on July 15 last year for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, and we’ve already discussed it here. So, to put it mildly, it’s not exactly new. But that hasn’t stopped River End Games and Nordcurrent Labs from bringing it to Nintendo’s current-gen platform. This also means that the Nintendo Switch 2 is a success, even prompting new versions of older games—or at least new ports—because if the platform were a flop like the Nintendo Wii U, ports would have dried up quickly after the initial excitement. There were a few major ports for the Wii U at first, but many developers and publishers quickly backed away from the Wii U GamePad upon seeing the sales figures.
The Nintendo Switch 2 port of Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is set to release on December 3. This means it will arrive after Grand Theft Auto VI, unlike the two ports mentioned earlier today. It’s no surprise that many are trying to avoid November 19, when Rockstar and Take-Two’s highly anticipated game is set to release.
