MOVIE NEWS – The new trailer for Smile 2 has been released, and fans are struggling to catch their breath. Drew Barrymore makes an appearance in it, standing on a shining pedestal in the hall of horror movie icons, as she was the first victim in the classic Scream, right in the opening scene.

In the trailer, Barrymore is seen interviewing the heroine of the story on a talk show. Given that the actress has a similar show in real life, it’s possible that she was included in the film in this capacity, creating a true meta twist.

In Smile 2, a rising pop star (Naomi Scott) becomes the chosen victim of the smile demon, and according to the trailer, even more horrific events unfold than in the first installment.

Barrymore is best remembered from Scream due to her exceptional dramatic instincts. Originally offered the lead role, she chose to play the first victim in the opening scene, believing she could make the most impact in those ten minutes. She was right.
